I'm sorry, but I just find it sad that you've got a Harry Potter book on that list. I haven't read any, so take that for what it's worth. I just feel that you're putting a work of marketing in with works of literature.

I have to say I agree on the Harry Potter choice. If I hear the words "Oh you simply must read it" one more time, I'll beat someone to death with my Quidditch stick!

You really really really should read 1984...one of the best books I've ever read and that was ever written.

I've impressed myself, I've read half the books on your list. I'm less worried about a Harry Potter book being on your list than Elmore Leonard(??)
Waiting for Godot is actually a play, so if you can see it first than read it, it may have a greater impact on you. I saw it years ago, and then I read it, then I quit my low life job that made me feel the same way. But that was just me.
